10th December 2016 The Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival presents a night of ibero-american culture with short documentaries, drinks, food, live music and fun!.
IberoDocs, Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival Scotland, is the first and unique showcase of Ibero - American culture in Scotland focused on documentary films by Spanish, Portuguese and Latin-American filmmakers. IberoDocs Festival takes place at the Filmhouse cinema from the 10th until the 14th of May 2017; however, a series of smaller events are organised throughout the year in the city of Edinburgh.
Doc&Wine, the next Ibero American cultural explosion, will take place on Saturday 10th of December at Gayfield Creative Spaces. Doc&Wine, as its name explains, will consist on a screening of three documentary short films accompanied by wines and light bites from different Ibero-American countries, live music, a raffle and fun! We will be honoured to have the musicians Carlos Donaire and Jokin Etxeberría from Listen Organic performing at the event.
The three short films that have been selected are all Scottish premieres and range from different topics and from different nationalities:
- Children of the River – Os Meninos do Rio (Spain/Portugal)
- Flower of a Thousand Colours - Flor de Mil Colores (Belgium/Set in Bolivia)
- Our sea – Nuestro Mar (Switzerland/Cuba).
